Our Tale in a Nutshell

In 2005, while expecting her first child, Marion encountered numerous frustrations. She wanted to print her cherished memories on various products but found that nothing met her expectations. Determined to fill this gap, she founded this company with the support of her friends and family.

Mediaclip introduced innovative technology that simplifies the entire product customization process, from creative design to print management, seamlessly integrating with e-commerce platforms. Making it easier than ever for consumers and online retailers to turn memories (photos, art, graphics, text) into printable tangible keepsakes.

Today, we are recognized globally as leaders in online product personalization and customization software. Our dedication to secure technological advancements is fueled by our commitment to meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers.

Marion Duchesne

Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder

Marion Duchesne holds an MBA in strategic planning and a certificate in entrepreneurship from the MIT Sloan School of Business.

In addition to leading Mediaclip, Marion is actively involved in her community: she sits on various boards of directors, including the Quebec Technology Association and Fées Marraines. Her involvement stems from her personal mission to attract women to the fields of technology (IT), management, and leadership. She also provides mentoring and scholarships to young girls pursuing studies in the sciences.

On a more personal note, Marion is passionate about scuba diving, travel, and exotic experiences: she's in love with life and unapologetically epicurean.

She has turned Mediaclip into a place and environment where everyone can evolve according to their aspirations.

While he may not be a natural joker and always seems to be on the move, those around him consistently trust in his intelligence and ethics. Christian has a diverse set of talents. You can find him as a developer, architect, analyst, salesperson, and manager—all at once. Let's just say, with him, anything is possible!

His expertise in building complex distributed systems and managing agile organizations based on the strength of individuals makes him invaluable.

When he's not taking care of his brood of children, Christian is passionate about VR.

  • Involved with start-ups (Telepix, Gretag, Photochannel, PNI) focused on online product personalization and service with Online retail e-commerce websites.
  • Practical experience integrating these technologies with Canadian retailers. (Loblaws, Costco, Wal*Mart, Jean Coutu. London Drugs, Shoppers Drug Mart and others)

Also, plenty of experience as what was called in the past, Category Management, responsible for key products and/or services business development activities with these major retailers in Canada.

Technological projects and challenges: Mediaclip Hub

Mediaclip Hub is a SaaS product hosted on Azure that integrates the core capabilities of our customization software through RESTful APIs. Designed to support high volumes of photo uploads and real-time graphic compositions, the system seamlessly integrates with multiple external platforms. We leverage advanced technologies such as Kubernetes, Cosmos DB, Azure Storage, Azure Defender, App Gateway, and Key Vault to ensure robust performance and security.

Our microservices architecture, combined with extensive test coverage, allows for flexible and frequent deployments, ensuring we can adapt and scale efficiently with multiple daily capable updates as needed.

Technological projects and challenges: Mediaclip Designer

Mediaclip Designer is a client application built using the latest version of Angular, designed to empower users to create a wide range of customizable photo products, such as frames, photo books, greeting cards, calendars, and more. Packed with many intuitive tools, users can add and arrange photos, text, decorations, borders, and filters, as well as create collages with alignment and layout features.

The application is fully responsive, offering a seamless experience across mobile devices and different browsers. Moreover, it can be easily configured by our customers to integrate seamlessly into their websites, ensuring both the content and the application itself align with their brand and user experience needs.

Fées Marraines

This organization's mission is to promote social inclusion, self-realization, and academic perseverance among 5th-grade girls from vulnerable backgrounds in the Greater Montreal area. They provide these girls with a complete prom outfit for free, as well as the opportunity to obtain post-secondary education scholarships.

Movember

The Movember movement has been around since 2003, with a mission to raise awareness about men's health, from cancers to mental health to suicide prevention. It aims to help men live happier, healthier, and longer lives. Mediaclip is no stranger to cancer and mental health causes, having participated in various activities over the years to support our families, friends, team members, and community members affected by these diseases.

Women Who Code

Women Who Code (WWCode) is an international nonprofit organization that provides services to women pursuing careers in technology and offers a job board for companies seeking coding professionals. The organization aims to pave the way for women in the tech world by assessing and helping women develop technical skills.
