October 26, 2020. MONTREAL, QC – Mediaclip Inc., the leading developer of product personalization solutions for online businesses, is proud to contribute to its social surrounding by announcing their first all-female Movember team!
The Movember movement exists since 2003 and its mission is to raise awareness about men’s health, from cancers to mental health and suicide prevention. It exists to help men live happier, healthier, and longer lives – by 2030, the charity aims to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25%. Mediaclip is no stranger to cancer and mental health causes, having indeed participated in multiple activities over the years in support of our family, friends, team members, and community who are affected by these maladies.
“This year is a little bit more challenging because of the Covid-19 pandemic and the fact that we are all working remotely, but it is a great opportunity to reinvent the concept and reunite our team over a cause we deeply care about at the same time,” says Amani Sharma, Marketing Director at Mediaclip. “We have decided to create an all-female team because 1) Cancers and mental health issues affecting men is a concern for everyone; 2) Women in the software industry are under-represented; and 3) just because we pledge to make participating in this important cause more fun!” she continues.
Not only will the team be raising money through the conventional way (for which you can pledge a donation here), but are also planning to create and use Movember- themed customizable masks and clipart assets with mustaches, which will be distributed, for free, to all of their customers, providing them with the opportunity to raise awareness and contribute to the cause directly as well.
“I’m touched to see all these young women be willing to team up and participate in this type of event, demonstrating their willingness to push conventional barriers away,” Mediaclip’s CEO, Marion Duchene, adds. “Movember and all cancer-related events are especially close to my heart since I lost my mother to this disease and another close male family member was recently diagnosed with it. This being said, Mediaclip is no stranger to these kinds of fundraisers since we are involved in several different charitable endeavors. Being a part of society and giving back to it is in the genetic code of the Mediaclip culture and one of its most praised values among employees,” she continues proudly.
You can contribute to the effort by directly sponsoring our team, Mediaclip Sassy ‘Stache Squad, by sharing this link with everyone you know, and above all, by raising awareness for the research and prevention of this health crisis faced by our fathers, brothers, partners, and friends.
