(Ce billet est disponible en anglais seulement). One of the benefits of organizing your prized photos is they are readily on hand if disaster strikes. On Sept. 27, Save Your Photos Day has been set aside to encourage people to organize, to back up and to print their photos for safekeeping. Mediaclip is proud to support Save Your Photos Day.
Now that the spring and summer storm seasons are over, most people are not thinking about planning for a disaster. It is a great time for a family, however, to consider how you can protect one of your most treasured assets: Your photos and photo albums. People are taking more and more pictures each year, yet most people don’t have a comprehensive strategy for dealing with them. Every day, more than 350 million photos are uploaded to Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat! While many of these pictures are toss-away selfies or grab shots, some may later have importance for family. We are encouraging our partners and customers to become involved with Save Your Photos Day, promoted by the Save your Photo Alliance, an industry organization opened to anyone with an interest in helping others safeguard their photos and treasured memorabilia. The Alliance provides a complete info and marketing kit if you choose to get involved by organizing an event on the 27th. It does not require lots of money, or time to get started. You simply need to have an interest in saving photos and enjoy working with others. For more information, click here.
And those valuable memories are only useful if you can find time. Save Your Photo Day events are all about providing tips and advice on how to find, to organize and to preserve photos.
